Disney Anniversary Staycation ~ Day 1 Dinner Date

Finally, Chris was out of work and it was time for us to check in. I will never get sick of getting greeted with a fresh and fragrant flower lei.

Even though I have already been on a tour of the hotel, Chris hadn’t seen It complete, so I indulged our greater and let her go through her spiel about:
359 Hotel Rooms, including 16 Suites
460 Disney Vacation Club Villas, including 21 Grand Villas
Painted Sky Teen Spa

I had prearranged to have some special items in the room upon our arrival:

Chocolate Stitch

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

An anniversary cake (bubbles were in the fridge)

Bride and groom ears

Our room was HUGE! Since we are ballers and like to live large when we are on vacation, we opted for the one bedroom v. the studio.

Once we were all settled in, we walked the grounds of the hotel and grabbed a cocktail at Off the Hook while we waited for our table to be ready at Ama Ama.

The restaurant features an open-aired seating section with amazing views of the lagoon. Pretty romantical if you ask me.

Disney is known for its attention to detail and even the bread had a Hawaiian feel. The server brought us over two types of sea salt for us to sprinkle on the bread for added flavor and texture: A black sea salt from Molokai and a red sea salt from the Big Island. So yummy!

Chris got the Paniolo Rack of Lamb, Pineapple, Mango, and Poha Berry Chutney.

I got the Angus Filet of Beef with Cabernet Sauce and soufflés potatoes.

We passed on dessert because we had tons of goodies in our room =)
