Haute Dogs

Walking around the zoo helped us build up an appetite -- geez okay it doesn't take much -- so on our way home Stephanie took me to a place I had never been before (I know, shocker!): Hanks Haute Dogs.

Naturally, I had heard of the joint before because it was featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network, but I didn't know where it was. Being the food groupies that we are, we found it.

We each ordered a Chicago Dog with Hank’s homemade chili, sans the raw onion and cheddar cheese; fries, onion rings and a side of garlic aioli for dipping. 

Next time, because there will be a next time, I am going to order this one:

A BLT hot dog!
