Lynch’s Take CT Day 5

It feels good to sleep in! We woke up just before lunchtime and before making the drive to see his grandparents in Norwalk, Chris and I went to Panera. Boy do we miss this place!

We both ordered out usuals: Turkey Bacon Bravo for him, Creamy Tomato Soup and the Mozzarella, Tomato and Basil Panini for me. It hit the spot, especially since it was rainy and dreary out.

We had a nice visit with his grandparents. Chris and his grandpa swapped Korea stories — Grandpa Dick served in Korea and Chris just got back from Korea — and Grandma Midge and I just gossiped.

Once we left them, we had just enough time before our next engagement to get my wedding rings cleaned. They needed it bad! They don’t do in house cleaning and Hawaii and I do not like the idea of sending my rings out. So I went to my favorite jewelry store, Jewelry Designs, and within in 20 minutes my rings looked like new. I also like the fact that they give you a carnation every time you come in the shop. I am sucker for flowers.

Rings lookin’ like new, we met my BFF Casey and her boyfriend Tim for Hibachi, CT style at Koo. It was so good, in part because they give you fried rice AND hibachi style noodles and the types of veggies they serve are more up our alley: carrot, broccoli and zucchini.

Since Chris had a ton of stuff to go through at home, I dropped him off in Cheshire so he could get a jump on it and I went home solo.
